Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Authors must upload the following four separate files. Submissions missing any of these files will be returned to the authors without editorial processing:


    1. Blinded Manuscript (without author names or identifying information)

    2. Title Page

    3. Cover Letter

    4. Declaration Form
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Sections

  1. Original Research

    This section publishes peer-reviewed original research articles that present novel contributions in artificial intelligence and its applications in medical fields. Articles should include methodology, experiments, results, and discussion.

  2. Review Articles and Systematic Reviews

    This section accepts narrative reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses that provide comprehensive overviews and critical evaluations of current knowledge on AI techniques in medical applications. Submissions must include future perspectives and research gaps.

  3. Clinical Reports and Case Studies

    This section publishes applied case studies and clinical reports demonstrating the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare practice, diagnosis, treatment, or decision support. Submissions should emphasize lessons learned and practical implications.

  4. Methodological and Technical Papers

    This section is dedicated to methodological advances, algorithms, software tools, or technical developments that contribute to AI-based medical applications. Submissions should demonstrate novelty and reproducibility of the proposed methods.

  5. Position Papers and Ethical Frameworks

    This section publishes position papers, conceptual analyses, and ethical frameworks related to artificial intelligence in medical applications. Submissions may include discussions of data privacy, bias, transparency, and clinical responsibility.

  6. Short Communications

    This section accepts brief reports of innovative ideas, preliminary results, or technical notes relevant to AI in medicine. Manuscripts should be concise, typically no longer than 3000 words.
